Use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox when editing your website. Do not use AOL or other browser systems.

Note: Holding your mouse over an Icon on the toolbar displays contextual help by telling you what each Icon does.
Creating Pages
From the admin menu choose the "Pages" link. You will then be presented with a list of all the pages that have been created for the site. If the list is empty, there are no pages in the database.
To create a new page, choose the "Add new page" link (upper left side). A new page form will be displayed in the browser. Fill out the appropriate fields to create the page. A brief description of what the fields are are below:
• Title - The page title. This will show above the content on the page.
• Breadcrumb - The breadcrumb trail text. ie. Home > About
• Home Page Teaser - If "Show on home" is checked, this is the copy that will display on the home page. A Home Page Teaser is a short paragraph that leads to a person clicking the automatically created hyperlink to read more. Note, you cannot create a Home Page Teaser on the Home Page even though the screen is available.
• Copy - The copy that will show on the page when the user navigates to it from the menu or a home page teaser.
• SE Keywords - The search engine keywords. NOTE: If this is blank, the SE Keywords from the Site Options tab will be used instead.
• SE Description - The search engine description. NOTE: If this is blank, the SE Description from the site options will be used instead.
• Show Teaser on Home Page - Turns the content for the home page teaser on or off.
• Published - Turns the page on or off. If the page is turned off (unchecked) a friendly greeting that the page is not available will be displayed to the site visitor.
To edit a page, click on the "Pages" link on the admin navigation. You will be presented with a list of all pages in the database. To the right of the page name click the "Edit" link. This will pull up the form which will allow you to edit your page.
Publishing Pages
Pages can be turned on or off in case there is a content emergency or you don't want the public to view the content. Pull up the edit form for a page and scroll to the bottom where you will find the "Published" checkbox. Un-checking this box and saving will un-publish the page, making it invisible on the site.
Note1: Disable or turn off your pop up stopper. Most pop up stoppers can be temporarily disabled by holding down your Ctrl or Shift key. Otherwise consult the maker of your pop up stopper.
Note2: Images should be resized before uploading them to your website. A good size for an image is no larger than 400 pixels wide when text is not used to the left or right, 300 pixels wide when text is used to the left or the right of the image. If you do not have software with your camera or computer to resize pictures a good free image resizing program is Irfanview and can be found free at www.download.com.

This area allows you to add menu items that link to your pages. Simply click Add Menu Item. Name the button with Link Name. Select the page in your site you want to link to in the drop down box. Assign a Display Order. It is best to create menus in groups of 10’s. If you ever want to rearrange your order or create a Child link this makes it easier. Decide if it is a Parent or Child link and click the Published. Click Save and your Menu Item is now live on your website.
Note: You can upload files directly from your pages and need not use this area. This page allows you, the site owner, to upload images, text documents, mp3 files, video or flash to the server to be retrievable by the content editor. The permissions for what kind of files are allowed to be uploaded are set through the "Site Options", including files size limitations.
If a file is of type MP3, txt, doc or pdf, the files will be uploaded to the folder /root/UserFiles/File.
If a file is of type avi, rma, swf or mov, the files will be uploaded to the folder /root/UserFiles/Flash
If a file is of type jpg, jpeg, png or gif, the files will be uploaded to the folder /root/UserFiles/Image
If you receive permission errors when uploading files to the server, you do not have write permissions set on one or all of these three folders. You will have to CHMOD your folders to 777 or ask your hosting provider to set the permissions for you.
The trash can stores all deleted pages and menu items in case a delete button was accidentally clicked. If you are sure you want to delete the pages permanently, click the "delete" button on the Trash page. If you would like to restore the page or menu item, choose the "un-delete" link to restore it.
If a page or menu item has been sent to the trash can, it will not show up on the public site unless you choose to un-delete the item.
